Hey lovely souls, I’m Allyiah! Transitioning from orchestrating the front desk to becoming a Level II nail technician at Judith B Salon + Spa has been an awe-inspiring journey for me. Introduced by a family friend, my knack for intricate nail art evolved from a personal passion, shaping my path in the beauty industry.
In high school, I flirted with the idea of diving into cosmetology through the TCD program. Alongside, I entertained whims of pursuing college in music education, elementary education, or even baking—yeah, talk about random, right? Fast forward to my college stint at the College of DuPage, where I dipped my toes into general education courses, spiced up with a couple of baking classes. It didn’t take long to realize baking was best kept as a side gig, nudging me to seek employment elsewhere. That’s when destiny led me to Judith B Salon + Spa, igniting my adventure in the beauty cosmos.
Fueled by my creative spirit, I eagerly dove into the vibrant training vibes of our esteemed nail lab. This artistic journey organically steered me towards the enchanting world of cosmetology. The allure of mastering haircare techniques proved irresistible, propelling me towards pursuing my cosmetology license, set to be in my grasp this June.
At Judith B, I’ve soaked up invaluable learning experiences through an exhilarating apprenticeship courtesy of our salon’s commitment as a CE sponsor. My path now meanders through a captivating exploration into the artistry of hair, with a strong focus on perfecting color techniques.
Besides hair and nails, I’m dipping my toes into the realm of makeup. My latest venture involves curating a comprehensive makeup kit, a journey that fills me with excitement as I eagerly anticipate assembling and organizing it to mirror my creative vision.
During my downtime, you can catch me immersed in the virtual realms of gaming, especially shooter-type games like Overwatch 2, Seige, and Fortnite, which my beau and I often venture into together. Beyond the adrenaline-fueled battles, I relish in the creative playgrounds of Minecraft and Sims 4. Presently, we’re geeking out over custom-building our own PCs, eagerly awaiting the final reveal.
When I’m not gaming, I’m nurturing my musical soul through singing and tickling the ivories of the piano—activities that resonate deeply with my being. Freshly minted as a 21-year-old Aquarius, I embrace my independent and free-spirited nature, guided by an open mind and a progressive outlook on life.
